Colonel Alan Orr
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Col. Alan Orr is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Upon completion of Officer Candidate School, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. During his military career, he has commanded several Firing Batteries, a Marine Corps Recruiting Station, an Artillery Battalion, and an Artillery Regiment. He is a graduate of the Marine Amphibious Warfare School in Quantico,VA, and the Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course in Fort Sill, OK. Col Orr is also a graduate, with honors, from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. He holds several Masters degrees. Col Orr has numerous combat tours from Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Somalia to Iraq. Today, Col. Alan Orr has retired from serving on the faculty at the U.S. Army War College, and has started Orr Tactical based in Richmond, Texas. He also serves as the President and Founder of Combat Marine Outdoors. Col Orr’s interests are family and an extreme love of the outdoors… hunting, fishing, motorcycles and skeet shooting. He is married to Tina, his wife of 21 years and they have two sons, Alan III and Nicholas.
