“Hello friends and family, I want to give a shout out to Combat Marine Outdoors. This organization truly loves and cares about our soldiers coming home and being taken care of. Words cannot express how great this organization is. All I ask is if you can take just one moment of your time and look at their website, learn about them, you’ll be in awe. I promise you. These guys turn pain and suffering into love and compassion. Thank you Martina N Dustin Jones, Master Gunz, Rodolfo Rivera, Rusty Hicks and everyone else. Just so amazing. God truly has blessed our soldiers and guys like me with GREAT FRIENDS. Love you guys.”

”Best group of professionals I have ever met. It’s been an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a great organization. Shout out to Rusty, MGuns and Dustin for all your hard work and dedication to our warriors”
I wanted to thank you for the amazing time I had last week! I truly have
never experienced anything of that magnitude. The hunting and camaraderie was an experience of a lifetime. Keep in touch and let me know when you are heading up here. I am always happy to support CMO. I can’t thank you enough for this weekend. It was one of the top 3 times of my life. Birth of my son, wedding and this hunting trip. I stay to myself and not interact with folks, but ya’ll made me feel that wonderful Americans do exist. I needed that, I really did. I’ve been telling anyone that will hear me about the hunt. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I still feel CMO is the best organization for Veterans out there. I hope to see you in 2017.
Got my mount today thanks to CMO!!!! An outstanding group that takes care of Wounded Warriors and Veterans. Thanks to CMO, the JL Bar Ranch and an awesome guide, I was able to harvest this beautiful deer and mix it up with my fellow gun fighters.
I first became involved with Combat Marine Outdoors in May of 2014 when my dad, Butch Hodges, invited me and my husband to attend the warrior weekend of fishing in Seadrift, TX. Seadrift is a small town on the coast full of people with big hearts and they proudly welcome Combat Marine Outdoors to town each May for a fun-filled weekend of fishing. For several years my dad has recruited some of the best fishing guides in South Texas to help make the fishing weekend one that the warriors will always remember. These guides donate their boats, time and expense to make this possible. My husband and I have become very actively involved with Combat Marine Outdoors and their annual trips to Seadrift. We work very closely with my dad and his wife Mary to hold multiple fundraisers throughout the year in an effort to support Combat Marine Outdoors. It is remarkable to see the smiles on all their faces knowing the sacrifices each of them has made for us and our country. We know how much Combat Marine Outdoors has done to help these warriors begin to heal with these opportunities to be in the great outdoors. My dad is a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country but like so many others, he himself suffers with PTSD. His involvement with Combat Marine Outdoors has not only helped countless men but has done so much to help him finally begin his own healing. Seeing the smiles on all the warrior’s faces makes everything we do that much more worthwhile! And at the end of the day, fish stories are told, memories are made and healing continues.
I can’t stop thanking Combat Marine Outdoors, their supporters, Ranch owners and every person that make these wonderful hunts happen for us veterans. A BIG THANK YOU.
These men are doing God’s work for us. It makes an enormous difference in a Warriors life knowing there’s great Americans who appreciate their service and in many cases their sacrifices. God bless you and never underestimate the good you bring us all. Thank you.
I know that we all spent a bit of time saying our goodbyes yesterday. But I wanted to reach out and express those thanks in a way that I’m more comfortable; through writing. I can’t begin to tell all of you how amazing this trip was. I had more fun in those few short days than I can recall having in quite some time. Everything from the food to the view was perfect. I have never felt so welcome. Each morning I woke up and asked myself what I had done to deserve such an amazing adventure. I have always looked at my 20 years of service as doing what I wanted to do. I think that keeping the focus on my own wants and desires instead of the service provided to the country made it easier to deal with the expectations. When I was wounded I gave up. I gave up on God. I gave up on myself. But recently a couple things have given me reason to open the dialogue with both God and myself. I realized that the perfection of my wife and the timing of this trip couldn’t have been an accident. I needed that trip. I needed to be forced to open up to other people and to see the majesty of south Texas. Taking this animals, catching those fish, and sharing those moments had a restorative effect on me that is hard to measure. Thank you all from the bottom of my hearth. I wish I could do this again with all of you every weekend.
